My recent trip to Bolívar, Colombia was an experience beyond my expectations. I went in search of Caribbean beaches and a bit of history, but what I found was a place brimming with life, diversity, and deeply rooted culture. The first stop was, of course,, a city that takes your breath away with its colonial architecture and vibrant energy. Walking through the cobblestone streets of the historic center feels like stepping back in time. The colorful houses with flower-filled balconies, the ancient walls that once protected the city from pirates, and the blend of cultures felt in every corner made this part of Bolívar one of my favorites. My journey through Bolívar was a reminder of Colombia’s rich diversity. From the idyllic beaches to the riverside towns, every part of this department has something special to offer.
